About Urban Tails
At Urban Tails, beautiful grooming and animal welfare go hand in hand.
Our purpose-built dog grooming salon in Campbelltown has been designed to safely and comfortably care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. The salon is clean, organised and professionally equipped, with every grooming area, tool and piece of equipment maintained to the same standards we expect for our own dogs.
We understand that every dog experiences grooming differently. Some arrive confident and ready to begin, while others need more time, a quieter approach or additional reassurance. Multiple safe drying methods are available, allowing our team to choose the option best suited to each dog’s coat, age, temperament and individual comfort level. We do not expect every dog to fit one fixed grooming process. We adapt the process to the dog.
That may mean allowing additional time and/or providing one or more breaks, changing the requested style, recommending a more suitable service or stopping an appointment when continuing is no longer in the dog’s best interests. We will never push a dog through a groom simply to say it was completed. A beautiful result matters to us, but never more than the safety and wellbeing of the dogs in our care or our groomers.
Owners can expect clear and honest communication throughout their relationship with Urban Tails. We will explain how your dog behaved in the salon, discuss their coat condition and let you know about anything that may affect their service. Where regular scheduling, home brushing or simple exercises could improve future appointments, our team will provide practical guidance without judgement.
Our team follows consistent standards across bathing, drying, coat preparation, handling, styling and finishing. Staff training and continued development are central to the way we operate, ensuring every future member of the Urban Tails team understands both the quality expected and the welfare principles behind it.

Meet the Team
Ash
Salon Manager & Pet Stylist
For Ash, grooming isn't just a job, it's something she's genuinely passionate about. With over 10 years of grooming experience and more than 15 years spent working with dogs, she loves helping every pet look their best while ensuring they're comfortable, happy and well cared for throughout the grooming process.
Having managed five grooming salons and trained with respected industry leaders including Prue Hammond and The Elite Dog Grooming Academy, Ash has developed a keen eye for both breed-specific styling and practical pet grooms that fit seamlessly into everyday family life. She particularly enjoys grooming Poodles, Pomeranians, Shih Tzus and Schnauzers, but loves working with dogs of all breeds, sizes and personalities
.
Growing up around animals and attending an agricultural school, Ash developed a lifelong passion for animal care from an early age. Today, she's an active member of the Rottweiler Club NSW, a strong advocate for animal welfare, and enjoys helping owners better understand their dog's grooming, health and coat-care needs.
Outside the salon, you'll find her gaming, watching horror movies, spending time with her pet snake Izzy, or glued to her phone watching dog grooming videos just for fun.
Shawn
Senior Groomer
Dogs have been a huge part of Shawn's life for as long as he can remember. Over the years he's shared his home with all kinds of pets, including a cat, snakes, turtles, parrots and plenty of fish, but dogs have always held a special place in his heart.
His canine family has included a deaf Cattle Dog named Gina and five Dachshunds: Millie, Leo, Nala, Patch and Junior. These days, Shawn and Glen's household is a little busier, with a pack of ten dogs made up of Snowy the Husky, Pippa, Parker, Rocket and Bandit the Toy Poodles, and Willow, Harley, Lady, Cali and Lexxi the Cavoodles.
Alongside Glen, Shawn also breeds DNA-clear Toy Poodles and Cavoodles, with puppies available exclusively through a waitlist. Years of breeding, raising and living with these breeds have given him a deep appreciation for their unique personalities, coat types and grooming requirements, providing valuable insight that he brings to every appointment.
As a groomer, Shawn enjoys creating custom pet grooms tailored to each dog's coat, lifestyle and individual needs. While he loves working with all breeds, Poodles and Cavoodles are his particular favourites, thanks to the creativity and variety their coats allow.
For Shawn, the best part of the job is building relationships with both dogs and their owners, and helping every pet look and feel their very best
Glen
Director
Dogs have been a huge part of Glen's life since childhood. Some of his earliest memories involve being lovingly squashed by a 40kg Rottweiler named Rusty, who had plenty of affection to give and absolutely no concept of personal space.
Over the years, Glen has shared his life with dogs of all shapes and sizes, including Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Jack Russells and Staffies, with several of them being rescue dogs. Those experiences helped shape his belief that every dog deserves patience, understanding and a loving home.
After spending much of his career in hospitality, Glen was looking for something that offered a better balance and a chance to spend more time doing what he genuinely loved. That passion for dogs eventually led him into the grooming industry and to taking over Urban Tails, where he enjoys getting to know both local dogs and the people who adore them.
These days, Glen and Shawn share their home with a lively pack of ten dogs, so life outside the salon isn't much different from life inside it. While he enjoys working with all breeds, he has a particular soft spot for Cavaliers and German Shepherds.
For Glen, the best part of grooming isn't just the transformation. It's building lasting relationships with clients, earning the trust of their dogs, and seeing happy pets race through the door for their next visit.
