Breed Standard, Hand Scissored & Creative Grooms

For dogs whose haircut needs more detailed shaping and scissor work, this service allows us to spend the extra time bringing your chosen style together. It covers traditional breed trims, fully hand scissored haircuts and custom styles with carefully shaped faces, legs, furnishings and tails.

Whether you’d like to keep the distinctive features of your dog’s breed or have a particular look in mind, we’ll talk through the details with you at drop off. Photos are welcome. We’ll work towards the style you ask for, taking your dog’s coat condition, lifestyle and comfort into account.

Our groomers each have their own touch, so you may notice small differences in shaping and finishing between members of the team. We’ll always use your preferences as our guide and pay attention to the details you’d like us to keep.

The time involved depends on the style, length and amount of hand scissoring required. Fuller coats and more intricate haircuts need additional product, preparation and finishing work, which is reflected in the price.

A well prepared coat helps us achieve a smooth, even haircut. Your dog is shampooed twice and conditioned every time, using products selected for their skin and coat type. A gentle, tear free face wash, thorough drying and brushing get your dog ready for their haircut.

We then clip and scissor your dog into the agreed style, including face and tail styling, tidying around the feet and hygiene clipping. Outer ear cleaning and nail trimming are included, and finishing cologne completes the groom.

If tangles or matting affect the style or length we can comfortably achieve, we’ll discuss this with you before proceeding.
